Gloria Park has taught piano for over 25 years to almost 200 students -- for the last 15 years in Suwanee and previously at the University of Virginia, the Music School in Providence, RI and as a private teacher in Maryland. Her students have received numerous awards at the local, regional and state level. She studied for many years under Suzanne Guy in Virginia and was privileged to study at Eastern Music Festival, NC and Gnessin School of Music in Moscow. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music with high distinction and her Master of Teaching in Elementary Education from the University of Virginia. She has worked in public and private schools as well as churches, but she has spent most of her time as a private piano teacher, which has allowed her to get to know some of the best kids and families around. She loves seeing her students grow and mature to become expressive musicians. Gloria is an active member of the Gwinnett County Music Teachers Association, where she serves as Treasurer and is also a member of the state and national affiliates (GMTA and MTNA) and the National Federation of Music Clubs. Gloria and her husband, Billy (pastor of Grace Community Presbyterian Church), reside in Suwanee with their 4 children.
Art (K-6)
Heejin Sutton grew up in Korea and has been drawing ever since she was a little girl. There was never a doubt in her mind that she wanted to be an artist. She studied oriental painting extensively as a college student. After graduating with her degree in oriental painting, she pursued a graduate degree in art therapy because she wanted to share the therapeutic effects of art that she had experienced. Throughout her studies, she also had many opportunities to do activities with children, adults, and patients who had a desire to express themselves through art. She finds great joy in seeing people focus, enjoy and relax through their art work. Heejin and her husband, David, spent several years in Gainesville, FL before moving to the Atlanta area 9 years ago. They have 3 adorable children. Heejin and her sister started an online art studio in 2020. You can check out their work at https://rabbitbrush-studio.com/
